Balance Beam Life

Up and down I can not win This tug of war Beneath my skin My mind clouds up I'm slipping down Under the surface Let me drown I want to let go Please release me I can float away Into the sea Over my head The water is still Crystaline blue My lungs start to fill Stop. My chest heaves Clenching pain What's going on This isn't a game! My lungs suffocate Something unknown Claws and my throat Grinds through my bones Rise and fall These emotions go Heated sun rays Then icy winds blow I can not control My life or my mind Can't put together What's left behind Broken pieces Cracked into shreds Leave me lifeless A walking dead One minute happy The next in despair No one knows Just how I got there Life living on A balancing beam But you don't know Things aren't what they seem.
